Admission to Additional Qualification Programmes

You can start this programme at the earliest upon successful completion of the Assessment Year at the University of St.Gallen. If you wish to obtain this additional teaching qualification only, you will require a Master’s degree in economics or law from a recognised university to be admitted to the programme. The programme consists of the following two stages.

Business Education I:
Programme offered at degree level:  Bachelor and Master
Language of instruction: German
Qualification: Diploma in Business Education (without teaching permission)

Business Education II:
Programme offered at degree level: postgraduate
Language of instruction: German
Qualification: Teaching Diploma for Vocational and Matura Schools for the subjects economics and law (secondary level II)

Both diplomas are recognised by the Swiss Conference of Cantonal Ministers of Education (EDK) and by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SBFI).

Admission requirements and application period

You can start this certificate programme at the earliest on entry onto a Master’s programme at the University of St.Gallen.
If you intend to complete the certificate in Digital Communication and Journalism only, you will require an officially recognised university-level Master's degree to be admitted to this programme.

You can start this certificate programme at the earliest on entry onto a Master’s programme at the University of St.Gallen. If you intend to complete the certificate in Managing Climate Solutions only, you will require an officially recognised university-level Master's degree in economics to be admitted to this programme.
